Juniors Lizzie Weast and Jessica Bednarcik and senior Ashley Stephens were named to the 2014 All-Capital Athletic conference women's soccer team, announced on Tuesday. Weast and Stephens were named to the first team, while Bednarcik picked up second team honors.
Weast took first team honors after gaining second team accolades a season ago. She scored two goals and two assists while starting all 21 games for the Eagles.
Stephens took first team honors after leading the Eagles defensively for the fourth straight season. Her selection is the first of her career at UMW.
Bednarcik finished second on the team with five goals in gaining all-conference honors for the third straight year. She was named as CAC Rookie of the Year in 2012.
