UMW Women's Soccer Falls at Salisbury in CAC Action, 2-0

The University of Mary Washington women's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision at Salisbury University on Saturday in Capital Athletic Conference action. The Eagles slip to 7-5-2 on the year.

The Sea Gulls scored at 8:26 on a goal from Jenny Gavigan, and held the 1-0 through halftime. Salisbury added an insurance tally at 71:42, as Victoria Luc scored on an assist from Lindsey Andonian.

Salisbury led in shots, 16-9, and in corner kicks, 8-3. UMW goalie Charlotte Owens made five saves for the Eagles, while Michelle Conrad had five stops for Salisbury.

The Eagles will be back in action on Tuesday when they host Wesley College at 3:30 p.m. in another CAC match.
