UMW Women's Soccer Opens Season With 2-0 Win at Shenandoah
Sophomore forward Bridget Dooley opened the scoring in the 42nd minute, and junior Chrissy Reardon added an insurance goal late to lead the University of Mary Washington women's soccer team to a 2-0 victory at Shenandoah University on Tuesday night in Winchester in both teams' season opener. Sophomore Amy Olson assisted on Reardon's goal, which came at 76:03.

The Eagles outshot the Hornets, 17-3, and had six corner kicks to none for the hosts. UMW goalkeeper Tina Brehm made a pair of saves for the Eagles, while Shenandoah's Brooke Strickler and Kat Terza combined for 11 saves for the Hornets.

Mary Washington will host McDaniel College on Friday at 4:00 p.m. in the home opener, with live stats and live video available on the UMW athletics website, www.umweagles.com.
