The 15th ranked University of Mary Washington women's lacrosse team has advanced to the 2017 NCAA Division III National Championship Tournament, and will square off against Meredith University on Friday on the campus of Washington & Lee University in Lexington, Va.
The Eagles faced Meredith during the regular season, and UMW was victorious by a 12-4 score in both teams' season opener. The loss was Meredith's only defeat of the season. The winner will face Washington & Lee on Sunday. The Eagles dropped a 5-4 decision to W&L in their second game of the year.
