Frostburg State senior Logan Brady was named the CAC Offensive Player of the Week after scoring six goals on six shots in a non-conference victory over Goucher. Brady was 1-for-1 on free position shots and also contributed two ground balls, one draw control, and two caused turnovers in the win.

Mary Washington sophomore Hanna Ashby was named the CAC Defensive Player of the Week after opening the season with six saves in a 12-4 win over Meredith, and adding seven stops in a 5-4 loss to Washington & Lee. Ashby registered a 59.1% save percentage in the two contests, allowing just 4.5 goals per game.

Eight of the nine CAC women's lacrosse teams have opened the 2017 campaign, with Christopher Newport set to begin play on Wednesday vs. Washington & Lee ... Four CAC teams are ranked in the IWLCA National Rankings, with Salisbury at No. 5, York at No. 10, Mary Washington at No. 16 and St. Mary's at No. 18 ... Marymount topped Methodist 19-6, led by a four-goal, two-assist game from Abby Wescott. At 138 points in her career so far, Wescott currently sits eighth in program history in the category. Liah Agouras led the Saints' defense with a game-high two caused turnovers and a team-high three ground balls, while also scoring a goal ... St. Mary's defeated Southern Virginia 21-1 in the CAC and season opener for both squads. Gabby Beese notched a career-best four assists and scored once for the Seahawks, while Megan Cannon scored twice and scooped up a career-best six ground balls ... Salisbury's Dana King tallied five points on three goals and two assists in the Sea Gulls' 16-9 triumph over Stevenson. Goalkeeper Gianna Falcone turned away five shots in net ... Southern Virginia's Zoe Bradshaw scored the lone goal for the Knights in loss to St. Mary's ...
