#17 UMW Women's Lax Tops Marymount, 18-14
Juniors Catherine Kennedy (Baltimore, Md., Baltimore Lutheran) and Lauren Callison (Stevensville, Md., Kent Island) each scored five goals to lead the University of Mary Washington women's lacrosse team to an 18-14 victory over Marymount University in Capital Athletic Conference action at the Battleground. The Eagles improve to 8-5 on the season, and 4-1 in CAC play.

The Eagles jumped out to a 10-3 lead before the Saints scored the final two goals of the half to cut the deficit to 10-5. The Eagles dominated the start of the second half, scoring eight of the first nine goals of the half to push the lead to 18-6. The Saints scored the final eight goals of the game over the final 16 minutes to cut the final deficit to four.

In addition to Kennedy's five goals, she also added two assists, and Callison added one helper. Junior Allie Kimmelman (Burke, Va., Robinson) had one goal and five assists. Senior Katie Wallis (Cypress, Texas, Cy-Creek) added three goals and two assists for UMW. Marymount was led by Tancy Weatherford's five goals.

The Saints held a 39-38 edge in shots, while the Eagles held a 15-12 advantage on ground balls. Danielle Guigli (Wellesley, Mass., Wellesley) had 11 saves for Mary Washington.

The Eagles will visit Stevenson University on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
