Kendall Parker Wins National Pi Sigma Alpha Award for Undergraduate Class Paper

Kendall Parker, a senior political science major on the women's basketball team, has won a national award for her paper, "A Comparison of Female Conscription: Israel versus the United States," as one of two runners-up in Pi Sigma Alpha's 2017 Best Undergraduate Class Paper Competition.

Parker received recognition on Pi Sigma Alpha's website and shared across Pi Sigma Alpha social media channels.

This represents the tenth time that a UMW Political Science or International Affairs major has been a winner in this contest. This level of excellence is unrivaled among the upwards of 600 chapters in Pi Sigma Alpha nationwide.

"We're very proud of Kendall for this outstanding accomplishment," said UMW Director of Athletics Ken Tyler. "She represents the best ideals of an Eagle student-athlete!"
