UMW Women's Basketball Falls to Stockton in Puerto Rico, 64-52

The University of Mary Washington women's basketball team dropped a 64-52 decision to Stockton University on Saturday in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The Eagles slip to 7-2 on the season.

The Eagles uncharastically allowed a strong offensive performance in the first quarter, as the Ospreys outscored the Eagles, 20-10, in the first. Mary Washington battled back in the second to cut the halftime deficit to nine, at 30-21.

In the third, Stockton extended its lead and held command after three, 50-33. the Eagles won the fourth quarter, 19-14, to cut the final to 64-52.

Junior Brianne Comden scored 15 points and added eight rebounds for the Eaglesm while freshman Meghan Comer added 12 points off the bench. Sasha Williams had 15 for Stockton.

The Eagles will be back in action on January 2 when they visit Frostburg State University at 1:00 p.m. in Capital Athletic Conference play.
