Danek, Andrewlevich, and Sneed All Compete on Second Day of NCAA Championships

UMW track and field athletes David Danek, Erin Andrewlevich, and Laurence Sneed all competed on day two of the Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships held in Cleveland, Ohio on Friday.

Danek was the first to compete on the day in his event, the high jump. After clearing the first two measurements of 1.93m and 1.98m, Danek came up just short at 2.03m mark. Danek ended up tying for 15th place in the Championships.

After qualifying for the finals in the 200m on Thursday, Andrewlevich had preliminary action on Friday for the 400m. Andrewlevich qualified for the finals on Saturday as the fifth seed, with a time of 55.92. 

Sneed ran in the 800m preliminary round later in the day and placed 20th. He ran a 1:59.21 in the race.

Andrewlevich will race in the 400m finals at 1:10 p.m. on Saturday and will turn around at 2:40 p.m. to race in the 200m finals.
