UMW Track and Field Competes at Johns Hopkins/Loyola

The University of Mary Washington outdoor track and field teams competed at the Johns Hopkins/Loyola University Invitational on Friday night, with many personal and season best performances.

Rajai Walton finished first in the triple jump, with a leap of 46 feet, 4.75 inches, Robert Robertson was first in the shot put at 38 feet, 6.25 inches, as well as first in the hammer throw at 147 feet, nine inches. Emily Knerr won the 5000 meters at 18:06.52, and Erin Andrewlevich won the 100 meter dash at 12.24.

David Danek was second in the high jump at six feet, 6.5 inches; Bryce McAlpine was second in the 400 meter hurdles at 58.76. Ashley Applegate was second in the 3000 steeplechase at 11:51.57.

The men finished in fourth place on the day, while the women finished sixth.
