Four UMW Track and Field Athletes Advance to NCAA Division III National Championships

WOMEN'S QUALIFIERS

The University of Mary Washington outdoor track and field teams will have its largest contingent of competitors at the NCAA Division III Championships than it has boasted in years, as four student-athletes will compete at the national meet on May 24-26 in LaCrosse, Wisc.

On the women's side, sophomore Erin Andrewlevich has qualified in the 400 meters, and is seeded 19th with a qualifying time of 56.70.

For the men, Jeff Gibson is seeded fourth in the 10,000 meters, at 29:58.42, while freshman Rajai Walton is seeded 16th in the long jump at 7.24 meters. Senior Daniel Forjan will also advance to nationals in the shot put, as he is seeded 16th at 16.20 meters.

The Championships, hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Lacrosse, will run May 24-26.
