UMW Outdoor Track and Field Hosts Eagle Invitational; Forjan Breaks His Own Shot Put Mark

The University of Mary Washington men's and women's outdoor track and field teams hosted its third meet of the season in the UMW Eagle Invitational at the track complex on Saturday.

On the men's side, Matthew Bapties finished first in the 1500 meters at 4:23.27, Jose Mundo won the 200 meters at 22.62, Ben Onguene won the high jump at 5'7", and Daniel Forjan won the shot put with a toss of 53 feet, 1.75 inches, breaking the school record he broke on Friday at the Penn Relays. Dylon Garrett won the pole vault at 13 feet, 11 inches.

For the women, the 4x100 meter relay took first at 49.60, Erin Andrewlevich won the 100 meters at 12.58, Marin Bader won the 800 meters at 2:28.70, and the 4x400 meter relay took first at 4:22.84. Isabella Anderegg won the shot put at 37 feet, 7.25 inches, and Kristina Tosi won the high jump at 5'3". Yamina James won the pole vault at 10'7", and Quintasia Hirsley won the long jump at 16 feet, 4.25 inches. Anderegg won the discus at 115'2", while Horsley won the triple jump at 34 feet, seven inches. Bethany Wilson won the javelin at 102'2".
