The University of Mary Washington men's and women's indoor track and field teams broke three school indoor records and posted many top performances at the VMI Winter Relays in Lexington, Va., on Friday and Saturday.

On Friday, senior Jose Mundo broke the school mark in the 60 meters, which he had tied last weekend, with a time of 6.98 seconds. Freshman Davon Guerrier broke the record for the 60 meter hurdles at 8.36 seconds, a mark which he would break on Saturday in the finals with a time of 8.34. Also on Saturday, freshman Rajai Walton set a school mark in the long jump, with a leap of 6.96 meters to break a 17-year old mark.

Mundo took seventh in the triple jump at 44 feet, 2.5 inches. The women's 4x800 meter relay of Marin Bader, Leah Saling, Maggie Larkin, and Olivia Story finished fourth at 10:16.87. Walton finished fourth in the long jump with his record leap, and Daniel Forjan took fifth in the shot put at 49 feet, 7.5 inches.

The Eagles had three of the top seven finishers in high men's high jump, as David Danek took third at 2.00 meters, Walton took fourth at 2.0 meters, and Ben Onguene was seventh at 1.85 meters.

The Eagles will return to action on Friday and Saturday at the CAC Indoor Championships at Christopher Newport University.
