UMW Outdoor Track and Field Hosts Day Two of Battleground Relays

The University of Mary Washington men's and women's outdoor track and field teams hosted day two of the 2017 Battleground Relays on Saturday, with many fine performances.

On the women's side, Danielle Holzhauser finished second in the 100 meter hurdles at 17.54, and the distance medley relay of Marin Bader, Kathryn Beddoo, Kristy White, and Emily Knerr finished first at 13:20.52. The 4x400 relay of Erin Andrewlevich, White, Lauren Esprit, and Janel Moore took second at 4:13.18.

Sheree Turner took second in the discus at 39.52 meters, Sabrina Johnson was second in the shot put at 11.81 meters, Avery Haislip won the pole vault at 2.75 meters, with Brynne Reeves taking second at the same height. Bethany Wilson took second in the javelin at 33.84 meters.

On the men's side, Ben Sorenson was second in the 1500 meters at 4:06.96, Camron Rauch was third in the 200 meters at 22.63, Daniel Forjan was first in the shot put at 15.33 meters and third in the discus at 41.43 meters, and David Danek was second in the high jump at 1.90 meters.

The Eagles will be back in action next Saturday at George Mason.
