UMW Outdoor Track & Field Competes at Jack Toms Invitational

The University of Mary Washington indoor track and field teams competed at the Lynchburg College on Saturday.

For the women, the 4x100 relay of Erin Andrewlevich, Quintasia Horsley, Lauren Esprit, and Janel Moore finished second with a time of 49.61. Jillian Weisbeck finished second in the 10000 meters at 40:47.79 and Moore also took second in the 200 meters at 25.65.

For the men, Jeff Gibson won the 10000 meters at 31:36.32, Daniel Forjan won the shot put with a distance of 51 feet, 9.75 inches, and David Danek won the high jump at six feet, seven inches.  

The Eagles are back in action next Friday and Saturday when they host the Battleground Relays.
