UMW Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field Complete Day Two at CAC Championships

The University of Mary Washington men's and women's outdoor track and field teams competed at the 2016 Capital Athletic Conference Championships on Saturday in Frostburg, Md. The women finished in fifth place, while the men finished seventh.

For the women, senior Colleen Boyle finished third in the 1500 meters at 4:58. Junior Bailey Ratliff took fourth in the high jump, at 1.53 meters, and junior Sheree Turner picked up her second medal of the weekend, finishing first in the hammer throw at 44.97 meters. Bethany Wilson was fifth in the javelin at 32.62 meters.

For the men, senior Chris Anderson was third in the 800 meters at 1:56.55, and junior Ben Sorensen picked up all-conference honors with a second place finish in the 5000 meters at 15:31. Ian Granger was fourth in the 5K, at 15:48.

Daniel Forjan was second in the shot put at 13.96 meters, and also took sixth in the discus at 40.86 meters.
