YORK, Pa. -- Mary Washington sophomore Teagan Young and Christopher Newport senior Enuma Ezenwa were honored as the CAC Women's Track & Field Athletes of the Week for Feb. 3, 2015.  

Track Athlete of the Week

Mary Washington sophomore Teagan Young was honored CAC Track Athlete of the Week after finishing third in the 3,000 meters with a time of 10:17 at the Patriot Games at George Mason on Saturday. Her times ranks first in the conference this season and 21st in Division III. 

 

Field Athlete of the Week

Enuma Ezenwa | Christopher Newport | Sr. 

Herndon, Va. | Herndon  

Christopher Newport senior Enuma Ezenwa was chosen as the CAC Field Athlete of the Week after placing second in the penathlon at the Captains Invitational with 3,190 points, which ranks sixth in the nation so far this year. During the combined event, she finished second in the high jump (5'-4.25''),   the 800 (2:33) and the 60-hurdles. On Saturday, she posted a height of 1.63 meters in the high jump, which ranks third in CNU history and 27th in the nation this year.

NOTES AROUND THE CONFERENCE

All seven CAC teams competed in non-scoring events this past weekend ... Salisbury sophomore Paige DeMent finished in the top five of the weight throw and the shot put for the SU women at the George Mason Patriot Games. DeMent placed fourth in the weight throw with a 47' 1.5" toss, while grabbing fifth in the shot put with a 40' 5" heave ... Mary Washington freshman Janel Moore ran the 200 meters to a time of 26.81 seconds.
