Christopher Newport senior Enuma Ezenwa and Mary Washington senior Claire Harrington were named the CAC Women's Track & Field Athletes of the Week for Jan. 20, 2015. Ezenwa was named CAC Track Athlete of the Week after putting together several strong performances at the Liberty Open last weekend. Ezenwa posted the top time among non-Division I athletes in the 60-hurdles after finishing in 9.37 seconds, which ranks 25th in the nation this year. She also placed sixth in the 200 with a time of 27.59, helped the 4x400-relay team finish second in 4:17.67, and tied for third in the high jump after clearing 4'-11". Harrington was honored as the CAC Field Athlete of the Week after taking second in the women's pole vault at the Maryland Terrapin Invitational on Saturday in the Eagles' first meet of the year. Harrington posted a mark of 10'-10" to claim second place. Her vault ranks second in the CAC and 30th in the nation.
