UMW Indoor Track Competes at Patriot Games at George Mason on Saturday

The University of Mary Washington men's and women's indoor track and field teams competed at the Patriot Games at George Mason University on Saturday in Fairfax, with several top results.

Senior Claire Harrington led the Eagles on the day by breaking her own school record in the pole vault with a leap of 11 feet, 1.75 inches. Teagan Young finished third in the 3000 meters with a time of 10:17, and freshman Janel Moore ran the 200 meters to a time of 26.81 seconds.

Sophomore Ben Sorensen finished third in the men's 3000 meters with a time of 8:42; Glenn Taylor ran the 60 yard dash in 7.10 seconds, and Nick Judy had a leap of 14 feet, 1.25 inches in the pole vault.

The Eagles will be back in action on February 8 at the Vince Brown Invitational in Newport News, Va.
