UMW Indoor Track and Field Opens 2015 Season at Maryland Invitational

The University of Mary Washington men's and women's indoor track and field teams opened the 2015 season at the University of Maryland Terrapin Invitational, with several outstanding results.

On the men's side, sophomore Ben Sorensen placed second in the 5000 meters with a time of 15:22, and senior Nick Judy finished second in the pole vault with a leap of 14 feet, 3.25 inches.

For the women, sophomore Teagan Young finished second in the 5000 meters with a time of 17:56, and senior Claire Harrington took second in the women's pole vault at 10 feet, 10 inches. Freshman Janel Moore ran the 300 meters in a school record time of 43.62 seconds.

The Eagles will return to action on Friday at the Collegeville Classic in Collegeville, Pa.
