UMW Indoor Track & Field Competes at Liberty Kickoff Invite


The University of Mary Washington indoor track and field teams competed at the Liberty University Kickoff Invitational on Saturday in Lynchburg with several top results.

Brooke Thompson leapt 33 feet, 11.25 inches in the triple jump, and ran the 60 meter hurdles at 9.63 seconds. Trinity Smyth ran the mile at 5:42.75. For the men, Nate Saint-Preux leapt 21 feet, eight inches in the long jump and 42 feet, 8.75 inches in the triple jump. Henry Howell ran the 200 meters at 24.10, and Allan Meyer ran the 200 at 24.14 seconds.

The Eagles will be back in action on January 7 at the Father Diamond invitational at George Mason University.
