The University of Mary Washington men's and women's track and
field teams competed at the Goucher College Invitational on
Saturday.
For the women, freshman Tara Landy finished first in the 10,000
meters with a time of 41:21.
For the men, Quincy Schmidt finished second in the 10K
with a time of 33:58; David Justis finished second in
the 1500 meters at 4:12; Chris Anderson was fourth in
the 1500 at 4:13; and Matt Cronin threw the shot put
11.8 meters and Alex Shivnen threw the discus 27.8
meters.
Both teams will be back in action next Saturday when they return
to Baltimore to compete in the Johns Hopkins University
Invitational.
