The University of Mary Washington men's and women's track and
field teams hosted the Battleground Relays this weekend, and turned
in several top results.
Winners for the Eagle women included Tara Landy in the 3000 meters
at 11:33.89, the women's 4x400 meter relay with a time of 4:09.49,
and Claire Harrington in the women's pole vault at 9 feet, 4.5
inches.
First place finishers for the men included Stephen Harrison in the
3000 meters at 8:54.20, William Green in the 1500 meters
at 4:06.56, Chris Marino in the 3000 meter steeplechase
at 9:57.70, the men's distance medley relay at 10:35.61, David
Justis in the triple jump at 41 feet, 9.75 inches, and
John Lilly in the long jump at 19 feet, eight
inches.
