The University of Mary Washingotn indoor track and field teams competed at the George Mason University Invitational on Sunday, with freshman Dalton Echard (Fairfax, Va., W.T. Woodson) setting a new school record in the 60 meter hurdles.

Echard ran the 60 meters in 8.79 seconds. In other highlights, Nicole Ditto (Richmond, Va., Mills Godwin) leapt a season-best 36 feet, eight inches in the triple jump, with Yun Lee (Fairfax, Va., Robinson) leaping 34 feet, five inches. Elizabeth Green (Viera, Fla., Viera) ran the 3000 meters in 10:48, finishing in third place. Matt Shaughnessy (Haymarket, Va., Battlefield) ran the 500 meters in 1:08.85.

The Eagles will return to action on March 5 at a last chance meet.
