UMW Men's and Women's Track & Field Place Second at CAC Championships
The University of Mary Washington men's and women's track and field teams each took second place at the 2010 Capital Athletic Conference Championships on Saturday in Salisbury, Md. 

Winners for the Eagle women included Lynette Humphries (Staunton, Va., Riverheads) in the 100 meter hurdles (15.70), Michelle Sutherland (Norfolk, Va., Norfolk Academy) in the 400 meter hurdles (1:08.06), Rebecca Campbell (King George, Va., King George) in the high jump (four feet, 11.75 inches), and Nicole Ditto (Richmond, Va., Mills Godwin) in the triple jump, with an NCAA provisional leap of 37 feet, 9.75 inches. The 4x400 meter relay also took first with a time of 4:10.44. That relay consisted of Brooke Thompson (Ashburn, Va., Broad Run), Bridget Dettmann (Charlottesville, Va., West Albemarle), Stacy Keser (Frederick, Md., Middletown), and Sutherland.

The Eagle men saw senior Matt Cash (Fredericksburg, Va., Stafford) win the 800 meters at 1:56.63 as well as the 1500 meters in a CAC record time of 3:57.26. Senior Jason Driscoll (Haymarket, Va., Battlefield) took first in the 5000 meters at 15:37.7.

The Eagles will compete this weekend at the Penn Relays in Philadelphia.
