UMW Indoor Track Sends Athletes to Father Diamond Invitational
FAIRFAX, VA - The University of Mary Washington indoor track and field teams opened the 2010 season at the Father Diamond Invitational at George Mason University, sending several athletes to perform.

For the men, Matt Geller (Huntington, N.Y., Harborfields) finished second in the weight throw with a toss of 14.36 meters, and also finished fourth in the shot put with a toss of 13.82 meters.

The women saw senior Sarah Dawes (Chesapeake Beach, Md., Huntingtown) finish sixth in the 3,000 meter run with a time of 10:51.40.

Both teams will be in action in full force next Saturday at the University of Maryland Invitational.
