Echo Allred is excited to be joining the University of Mary Washington Softball staff as an Assistant Coach with a specialty in Pitching. 

Prior to joining the UMW softball program Echo was the assistant coach at Brooke Point High School in Stafford, VA from 2019-2023. While at Brooke Point her team won the District and Regional Championship in 2021. Echo has been able to guide many pitchers into great success earning scholarships and opportunities to play at D1, D2, and D3 schools. She was also an assistant coach at Brigham Young University- Hawaii from 2007-2009.

Echo has been able to oversee the success of many pitchers through private lessons and has been teaching fundamentals and advanced pitching lessons for over 20 years. She started a pitching school and led camps and skills clinics in AZ, UT, CO, NM, HI, and VA. Echo has a passion for helping pitchers utilize their personal strengths and guiding them in the mental aspects of the game along with leadership and teamwork.

Echo played at BYU-Hawaii from 2002-2006 under Coach Jackson Mapu and Hank Nawahine. She led the Seasiders all 4 years in strikeouts and held a 1.60 ERA. One of her greatest accomplishments was pitching a 13 inning no hitter and 1 perfect game. She was named All PacWest 2nd team in 2004, all PacWest Academic team 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006. Echo graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Exercise and Sport Science with an emphasis in Health and Wellness and a minor in Coaching. 

Echo is also a certified chocolatier and runs her own business sharing delicious chocolate with the world. She is a 4.5 star chocolatier ranked by the International Chocolate Salon and has a Gold medal for the Best Caramel of 2020, as well as a Silver medal in 2021 for Best Spicy Chocolate with her Raspberry Jalapeno bonbon. She and her husband have three kids and one pup.
