The University of Mary Washington softball team recognized current and former military members on April 4 as part of Military Day. The Eagles teamed with visiting Wesley College, as both teams wore camoflauge uniforms for the games.

Prior to the games, the teams assembled for a group photo, and current and former members of the military were invited onto the field for the National Anthem. One military member from Wesley was recognized prior to being deployed overseas this week, and another threw out the first pitch.

Family relatives of the Eagles players were recognized between innings, as over 40 relatives of Eagle players were recognized. Senior pitcher Rachel Watts was instrumental in the organization of the day.

Following the games, the team hosted a youth clinic that saw many new skills and smiles introduced to the participating children.
