#37 UMW Men's Tennis Tops UCSC, Falls a #27 Pomona Pitzer on Sunday

The 37th ranked University of Mary Washington men's tennis team defeated UC Santa Cruz, 5-3, and fell at #27 Pomona Pitzer Colleges on Sunday in Pomona, Cal. The Eagles move to 5-1 on the season.

In the Pomona Pitzer match, UMW gained its points at three, four, and five singles. Brock Ladehoff, Peter Leese, and Trevor Rein scored victories for the Eagles.

In the win over conference for UCSC, the Eagles won at one and two doubles, and one through three singles. Rishi Charan Shankar and Brock Ladehoff each scored wins at both singles and doubles.

The Eagles will continue on Wednesday at the University of Redlands.
