The University of Mary Washington men's tennis team opened the 2022-23 season this weekend by hosting George Mason University, Johns Hopkins University, and Washington (Md.) College for a two-day round robin event.
In singles action, UMW's Nick Spera finished the weekend with a 3-0 record, while Andrew Watson, Andrew Campbell, Andrew Cooper, and Brock Ladehoff all finished with 2-1 records. Doubles action saw Rishi Charan Shankar and Watson finish 2-1, as did Cooper and Ladehoff, and Artis Hart and Jacob Pfab.
The Eagles will visit the U.S. Naval Academy this weekend for another individual tournament.
