#19 UMW Men's Tennis Falls to #20 Johns Hopkins on Saturday

The 19th ranked University of Mary Washington men's tennis team dropped a 7-2 decision to Johns Hopkins University on Saturday afternoon at the Battleground. The Eagles slip to 13-4 on the season.

The Eagles started strong with a pair of doubles wins. Moses Hutchison and Andrew Watson gained an 8-7 (6) win at one over Thomas Yu and Daniel Ardila. Rishi Charan Shankar and Nick Spera defeated Marco Azar and Vishnu Joshi, 8-6, at two.

The Eagles fell at three doubles in a tiebreaker, and all six singles matches - three of which in three sets.

UMW will be back in action on Tuesday when they host North Carolina Wesleyan College at 3:30 p.m.
