The 20th ranked University of Mary Washington men's tennis team dropped a 5-4 decision to 23rd ranked Sewanee on Sunday morning at the Indoor Tennis Center. The Eagles slip to 2-2 on the season.

The match opened with singles action, and after Sewanee opened up a 3-1 lead, the Eagles used wins from Derek Hagino and Patrick Hughes to tie the score, 3-3, heading to doubles play.

Michael Fleming and Hughes cruised to easy win at two doubles to gain a 4-3 team lead, but Sewanee came back to claim the final two doubles points to take the match.

The Eagles will return to action next Sunday when they open their spring break trip at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps.
