The University of Mary Washington men's tennis team opened the 2017-18 season by hosting North Craolina Wesleyan College on Saturday for the annual Kickoff Classic. The Eagles took seven of eight doubles matches on the day, and seven of nine singles matches in round one, and four of eight in round two.

Junior Matt Miles and freshman Moses Hutchinson each went 4-0 on the day, while senior Ryan Berry finished 3-0 on the day.
