The 18th ranked University of Mary Washington men's tennis team swept a 5-0 decision from York College on Wednesday at the Battleground in the Capital Athletic Conference semifinal round. The Eagles improve to 17-6, and will host Christopher Newport University on Saturday for the conference crown.

UMW sped ahead in doubles on Wednesday, as Ryland Byrd and Michael Fleming won at one, 8-3. At two, Derek Hagino and Matt Miles won, 8-2, and Joseph Brown and Patrick Hughes won at three, 8-1.

In singles, Miles won at one, 6-1, 6-0, and Hagino won at five, 6-0, 6-0, as the Eagles closed out the match.

The Eagles will host CNU on Saturday, with a match time of 3:00 p.m.
