#16 UMW Men's Tennis Falls to Carnegie Mellon, 5-4, on Saturday

The 16th ranked University of Mary Washington men's tennis team fell to seventh ranked Carnegie Mellon on Saturday afternoon. The Eagles fall to 14-6 on the season.

The Eagles claimed all three doubles matches, all coming by 8-6 scores, but could only claim one singles match in the defeat. Ryland Byrd picked up the win for the Eagles at six by 7-5, 5-7, 6-3.

In doubles, Byrd and Michael Fleming won at one, Derek Hagino and Matt Miles won at two, and Joseph Brown and Patrick Hughes won at three.

The Eagles will be back in action on Sunday in Harrisburg, Pa. as they take on Penn State-Harrisburg at 10 am and York (Pa.) at 2 pm.
