#27 UMW Men's Tennis Falls to #7 Carnegie Mellon, 7-2, on Sunday

#27 University of Mary Washington men's tennis team fell to #7 Carnegie Mellon, 7-2, on Sunday afternoon at the Battleground. The Eagles fall to 15-8 on the season.

In doubles action, UMW took one out of three matches. Eric Hurwitz and Nolan Perugini won at the two, 8-6, over Jeffrey Chen and Kenny Zheng. The Eagles lost the other doubles matches, 8-6 and 8-2.

Carnegie Mellon held a 5-1 advantage in singles play, with UMW's win coming from Patrick Hughes at the five, 7-5, 6-4.

The Eagles are back in action on Saturday at 10:30am as they host the top ranked team in the country in Emory University.
