#21 UMW Men's Tennis Split Sunday Matches with F&M, York

The 21st ranked University of Mary Washington men's tennis team split a pair of matches on Sunday, falling 6-3 at Franklin & Marshall College, and then topping York College of Pa., 5-0. The Eagles move to 10-6 on the season.

In the match against the Diplomats, the Eagles gained one point in doubles, as Brandon Griffin and Nolan Perugini won at one, 8-5.

In singles, senior David Lunding-Johansson won at two, 6-4, 6-0, and Derek Hagino won at six, 6-1, 7-5.

The Eagles then defeated York, 5-0. In singles, Lunding-Johansson won at one, 6-2, 6-2; Hagino won at two, 6-0, 6-0; Max Fritsch won at three, 6-0, 6-0; and Ryan Berry won at four, 6-1, 6-1. Axel Jobeus completed the sweep at five, winning 6-1, 6-2.

Mary Washington will return to action on Wednesday when they visit St. Mary's College and Salisbury University in Capital Athletic Conference action.
