The 15th ranked University of Mary Washington men's tennis team dropped a 5-4 decision at #31 Washington & Lee University on Saturday in Lexington, Va. The Eagles slip to 7-4 on the season.
The Eagles jumped ahead in doubles, as Nolan Perugini and Eric Hurwitz won at two, 8-6, and David Lunding-Johansson and Patrick Hughes won at three, 8-3.
Lunding-Johansson took a three setter at two, 4-6, 6-3, 6-0, for another point for the Eagles, and Hurwitz won at three, 6-1, 6-4. The Eagles dropped a pair of third sets, narrowly missing out on the pivotal fifth point.
Mary Washington will be back in action on Saturday when they host Penn State Harrisburg at 4 p.m. and Bates College at 6 p.m.
