UMW's Tyler Carey Claims ITA Atlantic South Most Improved Player, Arthur Ashe Sportsmanship and Leadership Awards

University of Mary Washington senior Tyler Carey has been named as the Atlantic South's Most Improved Player and Arthur Ashe Award for Sportsmanship and Leadership by the Intecollegiate Tennis Association.

The ITA selects various winners of the four tennis regions in seven awards. Carey is the lone individual male to be named for multiple regional awards.

Carey will compete in the NCAA national Division III singles tournament this week, starting on Thursday, and will also compete with Evan Charles in the NCAA Division III doubles tournament, starting Thursday.
