#18 UMW Men's Tennis Falls at #10 Johns Hopkins, 5-4, on Saturday

The University of Mary Washington men's tennis team dropped a 5-4 decision at #10 Johns Hopkins University to fall to 18-5 on the season.

The Eagles jumped out to a 2-1 lead following doubles play, as Andrew Curtis and David Lunding-Johansson winning at three, 8-3, and Tyler Carey and Evan Charles winning at one, 9-8 (3).

In singles, Stratton Gilmore won at two, 6-2, 6-4, and Lunding-Johansson won at three, 6-4, 6-3. The number one singles match went three sets, but Carey fell, 7-6, 4-6, 6-3.

The Eagles will be back in action on Tuesday when they host the Capital Athletic Conference Tournament semifinals against York College of Pa.
