#17 UMW Men's Tennis Falls at #19 Redlands, 6-3, to Close Western Swing

The 17th ranked University of Mary Washington men's tennis team dropped a 6-3 decision at #19 University of Redlands on Saturday, falling to 7-3 on the season.

In doubles, the Eagles fell behind 2-0 early, but Andrew Curtis and Stratton Gilmore won two, 9-7, to keep the Eagles close.

In singles, Gilmore picked up a win in straight sets at three, 6-2, 6-4, but Redlands gained three wins in straight sets to clinch. Brandon Griffin picked up a three-set win at five to run the score to 6-3.

The Eagles will return to action on Friday when they host Frostburg State University at 2 p.m. and Swarthmore at 4 p.m.
