Fredericksburg, Va.-- The #16 Univeristy of Mary Washington men's tennis team defeated the Seahawks 9-0 on Wednesday. UMW won every match in straight sets on their way to the victory. David Lunding-Johansson led the Eagles on his birthday, winning both his singles and doubles matches. UMW improves to 19-5 on the year, and face Salisbury in the CAC Championship on Saturday.

Lunding-Johansson and teammate Andrew Curtis picked up an 8-2 win over Wyatt Paulishak and Daniel Harris at number three. Evan Charles and Tyler Carey teamed up to win by the same score over Andrew Gear and mark Hardesty at one doubles. Stratton Gilmore and Brandon Griffin completed the sweep, with an 8-1 win at two doubles against John Feighner and Robert Bishop.

David picked up a singles win at three singles, with a 6-2, 6-0 victory over Feighner. Charles, Curtis and Scott Buie picked up wins at two, four and five singles respectively. Charles was a 6-0, 6-2 winner against Hardesty, while Curtis won two and one against Bishop. Buie was victorious over Paulishak 6-0, 6-1 to give UMW a 7-0  lead. Tyler Carey and Alex Cragg completed the sweep, both blanking Gear and Harris at one and six singles.

The Eagles return to action on Saturday, April 26th in the CAC Championship. UMW host Sailsbury, with a start time yet to be determined.
