Eagles Fall To Johns Hopkins, 8-1, on Saturday

Fredericksburg, Va.-- The #16 University of Mary Washington men's tennis team closed out the regular season with an 8-1 loss at the hands of Johns Hopkins. The Blue Jays swept singles to win the match. UMW falls to 18-5 with the loss. 

UMW won at number two doubles for their lone point of the afternoon. Stratton Gilmore and Brandon Griffin provided the point, with an 8-6 win over Noah Joachim and Nicholas Garcia.

The Blue swept all six singles matches, en route to the win, winning five of the six matches in straight sets.

The Eagles return to the courts on April 23rd in the CAC Tournament Semifinals. Time and opponent are yet to be determined.
