Men's Tennis Moves to #16 in the Nation; Sit at #4 Regionally in New Polls

The University of Mary Washington men's tennis moved up a spot in the national rankings, to #16. The Eagles also earned a #4 ranking in the Atlantic South Region in the newest ITA Polls. 

Claremont Mudd-Scripps remained atop the standings, with Washington Unviersity-St. Louis staying at #2. Amherst, Emory and Williams round out the top five.

Regionally, Emory sits at number one with Johns Hopkins and Carnegie Mellon ahead of Mary Washington who sits at number four. Fellow CAC members Christopher Newport (#9) and Salisbury (#19) earned regional rankings as well.

Tyler Carey continues his spectacular season, earning a #6 ranking in the Atlantic South singles rankings. Carey is joined by teammates Evan Charles (#21) and Stratton Gilmore (#22) in the singles rankings. Both Carey and Charles are ranked #1 in the doubles rankings. Gilmore and doubles partner Brandon Griffin are #10 of 15 in the doubles rankings.

The Eagles travel to CAC foe Salisbury on Saturday. The match with the Sea Gulls begins at 1:00 p.m.
