UMW Men's Swimming Competes on Day 1 at NJAC Championships

The Mary Washington men's swim team competed at the New Jersey Athletic Conference's swimming and diving championships on Thursday in College Park, Md. Thursday marked Day 1 of the four-day event.

In the 200-yard medley relay, Will Burkey, Aidan Deege, Zack Cherry and Darl Everett finished sixth with a final time of 1:34.66. 

And in the 800-yard freestyle relay, the Eagles nearly picked up a podium finish as Jonathan Zimmer, Jakob Robinette, Larry Almariento and Logan DeWalt finished fourth with a final time of 6:52.07.

The Eagles are back in action Friday for Day 2 of the NJAC swimming and diving championships.
