UMW Men's Swimming Continues to Impress on Day Two of CAC Championships

The University of Mary Washington men's swimming team turned in a stellar first full day of competition at the 2020 Capital AThletic Conference Championships in St. Mary's City, Md. The Eagles stand in first place with 324 points, 138 points ahead of second place York College.

The highlight of Thursday was the 200 yard freestyle relay of Brian Harnish, Matthew Scott, Gareth Mancini, and Garrett Ross, who broke the conference and meet record with a time of 1:22.63. Senior Austin Farrar took first in the 500 yard freestyle at 4:40.08, and senior Noah Carpenter took first in the 200 yard IM at 1:52.21. The Eagles then finished 2-3-4 in the 50 yard freestyle before the record-breaking relay.

The meet will continue on Friday.
