UMW Men's Swimming Breaks Four Pool Records in 137-106 Win at Salisbury

The University of Mary Washington men's swim team broke four pool records en route to a 137-106 win at Salisbury University on Saturday afternoon in Capital Athletic Conference action.

Aiden Francis broke the mark in the 50 meter shortcourse pool, with a time of 29.13. Thomas Leckrone broke the existing mark in the 50 meter butterfly with a time of 25.97, Noah Carpenter broke the mark in the 200 IM at 2:13.91, and the 400 meter free relay of Austin Farrar, Matthew Scott, Kolin Hoffman, and Carpenter at 3:38.22.

Carpenter also won the 800 freestyle at 8:51.60, Farrar claimed the 200 freestyle at 2:00.72, and Luke Bergstrom took first in the 50 meter backstroke at 29.37. Sam McKey won the 100 freestyle at 54.70, Carpenter won the 100 backstroke at 1:02.13, and Hoffman won the 400 free at 4:12.16. 

The Eagles will return to action next weekend when they host Franklin & Marshall College and Barton College at 1 p.m.
