UMW Men's Swimming Stays in 2nd at F&M Invite on Saturday

The University of Mary Washington men's swimming team cemented its spot in second place at the Franklin & Marshall College Invitational on Saturday. The Eagles currently boast 891 points, 133.5 behind first place Washington & Lee, and 205.5 ahead of third place Mount St. Mary's College.

On Saturday night, the Eagles finished first and second in the 400 yard individual medley, as Noah Carpenter took first at 4:02.06, and Austin Farrar took second at 4:05.90. Thomas Leckrone finished second in the 100 yard butterfly at 49.70, and Kolin Hoffman took third in the 200 yard freestyle, at 1:41.46.

Senior Mark Dye finished fourth in the 100 yard breaststroke at 57.93, and Gareth Mancini took third in the 100 backstroke at 52.17. The 200 yard medley relay of Mancini, Dye, Leckrone, and Garrett Ross took fourth at 1:33.49.

The meet will conclude on Sunday.
