UMW Men's Swimming Tops St. Mary's, 176-76, on Saturday

The University of Mary Washington men's swimming team defeated St. Mary's College, 176-76, on Saturday at Goolrick Natatorium in Capital Athletic Conference action.

The men's 200 yard medley relay started with a victory, with Alex Aung, Stephen Wallace, Sam McKey, and Matthew Scott touching out at 1:41.20. Senior Noah Carpenter claimed the 200 yard freestyle at 1:46.21, and Mark Dye followed with a win in the 100 breaststroke at 1:00.20.

Austin Farrar won the 200 butterfly at 2:00.46, and Garrett Ross won the 50 free at 21.68. Dye claimed the 100 freestyle at 49.23, and Carpenter claimed the 200 back at 1:59.57. Farrar won the 200 breast at 2:17.37, Scott won the 500 free at 5:04.15, and Ellis Winfree claimed the 100 fly at 55.87. Carsen Mumford won the 200 IM at 2:05.75, and the 200 free relay claimed first at 1:28.94.

The Eagles will be back in action on November 16 at York College of PA.
