FREDERICKSBURG, Va. - Mary Washington was selected as the unanimous preseason favorite to win the Capital Athletic Conference men's swimming title in a preseason vote among the conference head coaches. The Eagles will aim for their 20th-consecutive conference championship this winter.
UMW was the unanimous selection atop the poll with four first-place votes and 16 points, followed by York in second with one first-place nod and 13 points. Salisbury ranked third in the poll with 10 points, followed by St. Mary's (7 points) and Southern Virginia (4 points) in fifth and sixth place, respectively.
The season will culminate with the 2020 CAC Championship meet, set for Feb. 12-15 at St. Mary's.
